BeaT-Bearing – Tangible Sequencer

This is a real artical piece of instrument. Some man really want to know how it feels.

A tangible rhythm sequencer. Ball bearings are used to trigger (Roland TR-808) drum sounds. Visual feedback is provided from a CRT display underneath to indicate the current time and the state of each beat. More information can be found at both my homepage: www.sarc.qub.ac.uk the BeatBearing project site: www.beatbearing.co.uk And my blog petes-sonic-art-research.blogspot.com The BeatBearing was created as part of my PhD research in the Sonic Arts Research Centre (SARC), at Queens University, Belfast. SARC’s website is here: www.sarc.qub.ac.uk
